If this is your first yachting holiday you are probably wondering what is the standard booking procedure? In order to make your reservation as smooth as possible we have prepared short guide which will help you to understand our usual booking procedure.
We have prepared this article especially for you. We offer some advice on what to take with you and make your time on board easier and more comfortable, regardless of length of your charter.
Before your departure; Take soft bags. Hard suitcases may be unpractical in small cabins, and may not fit in small lockers on sailing boat. Take worm cloth. Even in August you may need light sailing jacket in early morning or late evening on the sea. If your sailing vacation is during low season I strongly recommend purchase of high-quality sailing jacket, if you don't have one so far. Plimsolls with special non-slips soles are also good investment. In cold weather I recommend wearing yachting boots. Do not wear shoes with narrow or pointed heels; not only for your own safety, but to prevent damage to boat’s woodwork. Sunscreen and quality sunglasses are must-have. They are essential all year round.
Currency: Kuna (1 kuna = 100 lipa). Foreign currency can be exchanged in banks, exchange offices, post offices, travel agencies, hotels, camps, and some marinas; cheques can be cashed in banks. You can pay in Croatian supermarkets and most of the restaurants via credit cards. In some restaurants you can pay in EUR, but in most of them and also in all supermarkets you can pay only in KUNA (or with credit cards).
There are few small shops and one big supermarket near Marina Kaštela. You can go by walk (5 min. from Marina), or hire a taxi.
If you don't won’t to bother in Saturday rush, we can do shopping for you. For 20€, we will deliver your food on your boat before your arrival. Only thing that you need is to deliver us your shopping list by mail or fax. We will shop for you and you will get invoice from supermarket at your arrival.
