Great news for all Lagoon 450 Bareboat clients!

We are happy to inform that Croatian Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure made great amendments to the Maritime Code and the Ordinance on Boats and Yachts.

The new Maritime Code aims to strengthen the competitiveness of Croatian shipping, and seafarers and to make Croatia attractive for registration of foreign vessels.

More significant changes concern amendments to the register of vessels, yacht and boat charter agreements as well as solutions for the prevention of marine pollution.

Probably the most interesting change to all sailors interested in chartering Lagoon 450 is that:

Yachtmaster A licence or equivalent is no longer required to charter Lagoon 450!

30 GT is abolished - Yachtmaster A or equivalent is now required to charter yachts larger than 18 meters

More details on Amendments to the Maritime Code can be found on Croatian Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure WEBSITE.

In accordance with The Ordinance on Boats and Yachts, certificates issued by the competent authorities of other states that have concluded bilateral Memorandum of Understanding with Croatian Administration and are recognised for operating Croatian flag boats and yachts can be found HERE.
